The Woodsongs archive is by far the largest high quality storehouse of streaming video of live concerts. The weekly Woodsongs shows are taped with multiple cameras for broadcast on the local cable system. Soon, Woodsongs will be available to many more fans when a new cable network called BlueHighways makes its debut. Most of the guests on Woodsongs fit easily into the folk/roots category.

Kennedy Center Millennium Stage
This archive is even larger than Woodsongs, but it includes the whole range of performing arts. Many of the concerts fall into the folk/roots category, but you have to do some browsing to find them. To browse these archives, click on the “Broadcast Archives” link (just below the header), then click on “Show me a monthly index.” Then you can browse through all the performances for the month, one month at a time. The video of these concerts is only one camera - highly compressed - but the performances provide good audio of great performers. The video is just a bonus.
